Wizz Premium Clone Pickups

Every single detail of these pickups is 100% vintage correct. They are reproduced down to the smallest detail and are probably the closest P.A.F. replica pickups available on the market today. There is no part of these pickups that can be bought off the shelf—everything is completely custom made, and most of the parts are crafted in our very own workshop (baseplates, keeper bars, slugs, maple spacers, etc.). Nickel sheets and low carbon steel are imported directly from the USA. Even the wire is custom manufactured in America exclusively for Wizz pickups.
With great attention to detail, each pickup set is uniquely numbered and takes approximately 20 hours to complete. Not only is the sound and look authentic, but these pickups even have the correct smell! If you have a vintage guitar that is missing real PAF pickups, or you want an upgrade to your Historic reissue, you won’t find anything closer to genuine PAF pickups anywhere on the market.

Chiltone Custom Pickups

The difference is in the tone. We use 100% made in the USA materials – the bobbins, wire, and the Alnico 5 and 2 magnets are all made in the USA. The USA-made materials cost more, but they are worth it. Besides being expertly crafted, they most closely recreate legendary vintage tones.

Quality of the tone is what matters most to us, Chiltone exclusively uses American-made magnets. After assembling each pickup, we rigorously test it, both electronically and audibly, to ensure it will deliver the tone it is designed to: 50’s style, 60’s style, or our original Blues Royale.
