We are pleased to present this very early Les Paul Special acquired from the son of the original owner. With just a few nicks and dings, the guitar is in overall excellent condition. The pickguard and “speed” knobs on the earliest Specials are a little different than late 55/56. The tuner buttons disintegrated so we added new ones, otherwise it is 100% original. The frets are in great condition and the guitar is set up and plays well. This guitar absolutely barks through a Vibrolux Reverb – its a real good one. Complete with original brown Lifton case, a nice upgrade since most were delivered in a cardboard case.
