We are pleased to offer this lovely late 40s D-28 in excellent condition. The guitar retains its beautifully aged original finish and is crack free. There is no overspray present anywhere. Original bridge, saddle, pickguard and nut. Bridge pins appear original as well. The original bridge plate has been reinforced with another well cut and perfectly placed bridge plate providing extra protection. The neck is true and plays well all the way up with no buzzing and no need for a neck reset. There are a few capo marks on the back of the neck. Set up perfectly for bluegrass but action can still be lowered a bit if desired. The guitar was refretted at some point in the past. The Brazilian rosewood back is quartersawn, typical of the best guitars and less susceptible to cracks. Complete with older, non-original hard case.
